Fulham striker Trotta aiming to build on Brentford experience

Fulham striker Marcello Trotta hopes to build on the experience gained on-loan at Brentford.

Fulham boss Martin Jol has challenged the 20-year-old striker to show he is good enough to be part of his first-team plans.

Trotta, who has two years remaining on his contract, said: "I will go back to Fulham and see what happens. I will do my best and hopefully get some chances over there.

"The coaches at Fulham have followed me every week and they have been very happy with my progression. This has been a very important six months for me at Brentford. This team have taught me never to give up.

"It is crucial that I play regular football. I am a young player and I need to play, hopefully at Fulham or on loan. It is important for me to play and develop."
