Fulham striker Pavel Pogrebnyak rates Russia teammate Andrey Arshavin ahead of imminent Arsenal signing Lukas Podolski.

Ex-Stuttgart forward Pogrebnyak knows FC Cologne attacker Podolski from his time in the Bundesliga - and rates Arshavin, currently on-loan at Zenit St Petersburg, as the superior player.

"Arshavin is a high-class player and in no way inferior to Podolski," said his former Zenit team-mate.

"I think Andrey will return to Arsenal."
