Fulham striker Aleksandar Mitrovic admits he grew up idolising Newcastle United legend Alan Shearer.

Mitrovic has the No 9 shirt at Fulham now and still studies Shearer's goals on YouTube. When he was with Newcastle, the two men lived on the same road in the North East but didn't meet.

"Shearer is still my hero and it's his job to do analysis," he told the Daily Mail.

"He was most of the time right, of course. My father says the same. I know myself when I play bad anyway. He is still a legend and I don't think England will ever have a striker like him again."
