Fulham strike terms for Standard Liege keeper Bolat

Fulham have struck terms with Standard Liege for goalkeeper Sinat Bolat.

Fulham have struck terms with Standard Liege for goalkeeper Sinat Bolat.

The Daily Mail says Martin Jol has moved to reinforce Fulham’s defence by agreeing a cut-price £800,000 deal for Standard Liege’s Turkey keeper Bolat.

The 24-year old, Belgian-born of Turkish parents, has been recovering from a long-term knee injury at Craven Cottage and has finally put the finishing touches to a transfer that has been under consideration for several months.

He is the only keeper to score a goal from open play in the history of the Champions’ League.

Talks are currently taking place over personal terms but seem sure to be a formality after Bolat made it clear he wanted to join Fulham.
