Fulham skipper Murphy: Strange facing Hodgson with West Brom

Fulham skipper Danny Murphy admits it will be strange facing Roy Hodgson and West Bromwich Albion this weekend.

Murphy expects to take on a well-drilled side that will mirror the one Hodgson built in London.

"It will be a little bit strange to come up against Roy," said Murphy. "It will be nice to see him, though. I have great memories of Roy and his time with us. I think we'll have an idea of how they're going to play. They will be well organised, work hard and have a good shape.

"The job he did at West Brom last season deserves great credit as they were in real trouble.

"He steadied the ship and they have had an horrendous run of fixtures this season - Manchester United, Chelsea and Stoke. That's as tough as it gets.

"But I am just glad he is still in the game. A man of his wisdom, who is as genuine as he is and has his knowledge, should be."
