Fulham skipper Danny Murphy says manager Martin Jol is excited about facing Tottenham.
The big Dutch manager was the last to find out he had been sacked when rumours swept the ground of his dismissal during a 2-1 UEFA Cup defeat to Getafe in October 2007.
Murphy, 34, said: "I think the gaffer will be looking forward to it.
"Their fans will give him a good reception as well. After all, he did a reasonable job while he was there, getting them into fifth position two seasons running. That's decent going.
"I don't remember it exactly, but I know there was a little bit of dissatisfaction about the way it was done.
"But is there ever a good way to be sacked?
"Unfortunately, sometimes these things do get out. But, overall, he can be happy with the job he did there and I think the fans will probably show their appreciation to him on Sunday.
"Well, I hope they do, because the Tottenham fans are a good bunch and they know their football."
