Fulham skipper Murphy: Great confidence surging through squad

Fulham captain Danny Murphy admits the squad is currently enjoying great confidence.

He told fulhamfc.com: "The one thing you have to be careful of is not becoming too comfortable and thinking when you walk out on the pitch you're going to win because you've got a good record behind you. We're not cocky or comfortable but we're happy with the way things are going. We're playing with confidence. When we're at home we have a little bit more of the ball to go at teams and you can see the confidence in our game at the Cottage."

Fulham's win over Boro took them up to eighth place in the Barclays Premier League and whilst praising his team's balance and shape, Murphy highlighted the quality and form of summer signing Mark Schwarzer.

"Our shape looks good. We've tried to find a balance between keeping a good shape and being defensive and actually still get forward and create chances. I think we've found a happy medium and we all deserve credit for that because we've got a good team shape. The two centre halves are in terrific form and I'm really pleased with Mark Schwarzer. He's been absolutely brilliant for us. Sometimes you don't realise how good someone really is until you play and train with them."
