Fulham signing Giorgos Karagounis will let his boots do talking

New Fulham free transfer Giorgos Karagounis is reluctant to talk himself up.

The Greece midfielder would rather the fans see his qualities for themselves.

"I'm not very comfortable talking about myself," he explained to fulhamfc.com. "I prefer to talk on the pitch. But I will fight in every game for the best result and I will give all my energy on the field, for the fans."

After last seeing match action with Greece in the summer, Karagounis readily admits that he may need some time before he is ready for First Team duty with the Whites, but the midfielder has been keeping his fitness up and insists he'll be prepared when called upon.

"The Coach is the one who will decide when I can take to the field but, generally speaking, I need some time to train with the ball," Giorgos said. "The last game that I played was in the European Championship against Russia. But this is a decision that I will jointly take with the Manager as the days go and we see how I adapt and get my rhythm."
