Fulham signing Cook stays in London

New Fulham signing Lee Cook is staying in London as manager Lawrie Sanchez takes his squad to Hong Kong this week.

The former QPR winger is currently in the final stages of recovery, having undergone minor knee surgery at the end of last season and will continue his return to full fitness at the Club's Motspur Park training ground this week.

"We want him to rehab so by the time we come back from Hong Kong, we expect him to play in the QPR game before the season starts," Sanchez told fulhamfc.com.

"He gives us width on the left. Lee is a player I have admired for a long time. He's an old fashioned winger who will run at players and he's a great crosser of the ball. He had a clean up operation at the end of last season on his knee, nothing major, and he's about a week away from being fit to play."
