Fulham have been hit with the news that Steve Sidwell will be sidelined for up to six weeks.
The 29-year old midfielder has suffered a recurring hernia problem and may have to have another operation after undergoing surgery earlier this season.
Sidwell has managed 14 league appearances so far this campaign but is unlikely to be available until around mid-March according to manager Martin Jol.
"He had a hernia operation as you know and it is almost the same problem.
"He had an operation and we have to wait but we fear he needs another operation.""We had an injury to Steve Sidwell and he will be out for a long time for four, five or six weeks," he said.
