Fulham defender John Arne Riise has revealed he was on an 'emotional high' after helping his team defeat former club Liverpool on Monday night.
The Norwegian left-back was at his best as the Cottagers managed to get the better of the Reds 1-0 at Craven Cottage and Riise said there were some emotions after beating some of his old teammates.
"I was happy to get a win and it was special for me because it was the first time that I have played against Liverpool," he told the club's official website.
"It was special and an emotional high when the final whistle went. I'm very happy and I really enjoyed it because it was an important three points for us."
