Fulham new boy Pavel Pogrebnyak has eased fears that he has seriously injured his foot.
The Russian international kicked off his career at Craven Cottage with a brilliant goal on debut to help the West Londoners to a 2-1 home win over Stoke City on Saturday but had to come off just after the hour-mark with foot problem.
Pogrebnyak admits he had an issue with the foot whilst with VfB Stuttgart but insists that this time it is nowhere near as bad as he looks to make a further impact for Fulham after a dream start.
"(In Germany) my same foot was injured but this time nothing serious happened. My foot swelled a bit but I'm sure it will be alright.
"I felt great (after scoring)," added Pogrebnyak. "I got a warm welcome from the fans. When I was introduced before the game they clapped me. I saw Russian flags in the stadium which was a great feeling.""I twisted my foot a little bit. I wanted to go back but I understood that I can't be useful 100 per cent for my team," Pogrebnyak told Sports-express.ru.
