Fulham manager Martin Jol is extremely hopeful of keeping Mark Schwarzer at the club.
The Australian goalkeeper comes out of contract this summer and has spoken about preparing to depart Craven Cottage but Jol has made it clear that he wants the former Middlesbrough man to remain.
"At the moment Mark Schwarzer's future is unclear but we are hopeful of sorting something out over the next few weeks," Jol told Sky Sports after the 3-0 win over Swansea City on Sunday on the final day of the season.
Schwarzer arrived at Fulham from Boro in 2008 and sits in the top 10 for total Premier League appearances having played 480 times in England's top flight - 171 off which have come with the Cottagers.
