Fulham's Johnson could be set for MLS return

Fulham striker Eddie Johnson could be back in the USA when his contract runs out in the summer.

The 27-year old has had little luck at Craven Cottage since joining in 2008 and rumours suggest he may be on his way back to MLS, where he spent time with FC Dallas and Sporting Kansas City (then the Wizards) from 2001 until he landed in London.

In the past two seasons, the USA international has undergone loan spells with Cardiff City, Greek club Aris Thessaloniki (alongside Freddy Adu) and is currently with Preston North End.

MLS clubs will be looking to bring Johnson back into the fray this summer and such is his recent luck, he may be up for a homecoming if he cannot get a fresh deal anywhere in Europe.
