Fulham's Hangeland confident ahead of busy December

Fulham defender Brede Hangeland is happy with the team's form ahead of a cluttered December.

The Cottagers have eight matches in the final month of 2011 including their last two Europa League group stage fixtures but the Norwegian centre-half feels that the weekend's 1-1 draw with Arsenal, along with a couple of recent home matches, has put them in good stead to achieve positive results.

"We're moving in the right direction," he told the Fulham & Hammersmith Chronicle.

"We've had two games at home, Everton and Tottenham, which we should have won.

"That would've given us six more points and everyone would've been really happy.

"We need to keep working on the performance and we'll get the results in the end.

"It's a tough month coming up, but this result gives us a bit of confidence.

"We would've taken a point before the game but when you're nine minutes away from a win you're obviously a little bit disappointed.

"Although we played well they deserved a point."
