Fulham fear that midfielder Mahamadou Diarra could be sidelined for the remainder of the season.
The 31-year old Malian is still struggling with a knee injury he sustained earlier this month and if it happens to be cruciate ligament damage, he may be out for up to five months according to manager Martin Jol.
"There's a little piece of cartilage floating in his knee, so we have to operate that in any case, and that can be three or four weeks," the White boss said.
"But if there is damage to his cruciate ligament, for example, it will take a lot longer.
"It will take him three, four, five months at least."
