Clint Dempsey admits it is a great benefit that his national team manager is a former world class player.
The 28-year old Fulham ace has revealed he is learning plenty from USA boss Juergen Klinsmann who won the 1990 World Cup with Germany as well as forging a brilliant club career with the likes of VfB Stuttgart, Inter Milan, Monaco, Tottenham and Bayern Munich among others.
"He has so much experience and knowledge that he has about the game that he can pass down to me. It's great to add that to [my] game to be the best I can be.""To have a world class player to be your manager is a great thing," Dempsey told Fox Soccer.
And as for his personal goals for the future, Dempsey is targeting Champions League action with Fulham as well as another World Cup with the US.
"You never know your road in life, but hopefully Champions League is in the cards for me, hopefully I can play one more World Cup, and hopefully still be playing at a high level for one or two more years [after that] before I hang up the boots," he added.
