Fulham reject West Ham bid for midfielder Cairney

West Ham United were unsuccessful with their bid for Fulham midfielder Tom Cairney.

The Hammers are keen to get the transfer over the line in the January transfer window.

However, Fulham are not happy with the offer, and it appears that will take a high sum to convince them to sell the talented player to the Premier League club.

A bid of £15 million is being reported as not being enough for Fulham.

Cairney did not feature in Fulham's most recent game, missing the 3-1 FA Cup win against Barnsley.

It lead many to speculate that his time at the club was at an end. However, Fulham are believed to be saying they will not be bullied into a sale, and will only let the player go at the right price.

It is most likely that a deal will stretch into the summer window, with only a few days left to complete any deals in January.
