Fulham are willing to spend big for Atletico Madrid midfielder Raul Garcia.

The Mirror says Fulham boss Martin Jol is set to revive his interest in Atletico Madrid midfielder Raul Garcia when the January transfer window opens.

Jol is desperate to strengthen his midfield and was one of several Premier League managers to go for the 26-year-old in the summer, when Everton, Liverpool and Newcastle were also keen.

But Fulham were scared off by Atletico's £7million asking price and were unable to agree a loan deal instead.

However, they will now try and see if they can ease their injury problems by making a move in January.
