Fulham prepared to allow Johnson to leave on Bosman

Fulham are ready to hand striker Andy Johnson a free transfer.

The Daily Star says Johnson will be allowed to quit Fulham on a free transfer unless he signs a new deal.

Johnson - who cost £10.5m when he joined from Everton in 2008 - has a year left on his contract but talks over a new one have stalled.

Fulham would rather sell the 30-year-old in January but Cottagers boss Martin Jol claims he has yet to find a buyer.

He said: "If there was a club interested in him, you could think about selling him.

"But if not, I'm happy for him to stay here until the end of the season."
