Fulham owner Shahid Khan insists he's not at a disadvantage being based in the US.
Khan invited former Manchester United coach Rene Meulensteen to Florida to discuss the idea of joining Martin Jol's backroom staff but Meulensteen has chosen a coaching role in Qatar.
"I don't think it's any different if I'm in the US or in London," Khan told the Daily Mail. "I look at operations globally. This is a very connected, flat world, whether that's by email or 'phone, you're still going to do the right thing.
"I spend quite a bit of time in contact with Alistair [Mackintosh, Fulham's chief executive] and Martin. But my only motive is what can I do to help them?"
