Fulham No2 Mark Bowen admits they're pleased to have kept Mark Schwarzer.
The goalkeeper was keen to join Arsenal before Tuesday's transfer deadline.
Bowen told givemefootball.com: "Mark spoke to Mark Hughes and we all know there was interest in him but it was only going to be considered if we could get in a goalkeeper of the quality of Mark Schwarzer as a replacement.
"They had a lot of discussions and he (Schwarzer) said how he felt so we looked at the market place but, ultimately, it wasn't an option for us in the end."
