Fulham will up their bid for Almeria attacker Kalu Uche.

The Mirror says Roy Hodgson is poised to make a renewed bid to land powerful Uche this week.

The Fulham boss has already made a £2.1million bid for the 26-year-old frontman but Almeria want around double that.

Uche said earlier this month: "Hugo (Sanchez) asked me to stay. He is counting on me for next season and I am very grateful for that, but I still cannot tell you anything.

"The truth is that I still have several offers to consider."
