Fulham have moved to trump Everton for LA Galaxy captain Landon Donovan.
The Daily Mail says the USA captain spent two-and-a-half months at Goodison Park last season, scoring twice in 13 appearances, and has made no secret of his desire to come back to the Premier League on a temporary basis.
Fulham and Everton are enduring underwhelming campaigns, with a cutting edge in the final third severely lacking in both camps. Donovan scored three times at this summer's World Cup and, while he is not by trade a centre-forward, he could be the missing ingredient for both sides.
