Espanyol defender Juan Velasco is reportedly Fulham boss Lawrie Sanchez's latest target in the transfer market.

The Spanish defender, who has five caps for his country, was apparently watched by Fulham scouts last season and Sanchez is believed to have received favourable reports on the 30-year-old.

The experienced Velasco is said to want a move to the Premiership and would be a welcome addition to the Cottagers squad ahead of the new campaign.

However, Sanchez could face competition from Blackburn if he makes a move for him as Rovers have also been keeping a close eye on the former Atletico Madrid and Sevilla player.
