Fulham are ready to make an offer for Aston Villa striker Darren Bent.
The Daily Mail says Fulham are preparing a bid for Bent and could beat Newcastle to his signature.
The 29-year-old has been frozen out at Aston Villa, with manager Paul Lambert encouraging offers. Martin Jol and new owner Shahid Khan are thought to be ready to meet the £5million valuation placed on the former England striker's head.
