Fulham midfielder Sidwell hails victory at Sunderland

Fulham midfielder Steve Sidwell was delighted with victory at Sunderland.

Having seen his side score three goals with no return in two consecutive games, Sidwell is eager to get back into the action against Liverpool, Birmingham and Arsenal.

"Today wasn't the best we have played this season but at the end of the day it's the three points that count," he told fulhamfc.com. "And it goes without saying that they were three very important ones for us.

"We struggled a little in the first-half but we kept going and we got our rewards. Gael and Simon took their goals very well and that was perhaps the big difference.

"It's been a good week for us, with this the second 3-0 victory in four days. We all want to finish the season as strong as possible and these results have gone a long way in making sure that happens.

"Back-to-back wins will do much for our momentum and hopefully we can keep that going. We all know how vital that can be.

"We've been working hard as we always do and with three games left we're in sight now. A top 10 finish is certainly achievable."
