Fulham midfielder Sidwell doesn't regret quitting Reading for Chelsea

Fulham midfielder Steve Sidwell has no regrets over his move from Reading to Chelsea.

Sidwell quit Reading for Jose Mourinho's Chelsea back in 2007.

Sidwell said: "When I was at Arsenal I had to make a decision when Arsene Wenger told me I wouldn't get much of a chance with Patrick Vieira and Emmanuel Petit in the middle of the park. Reading came in and I decided to go there.

"Mr Wenger was honest with me and Reading offered me a platform to go to the next level.

"But you don't turn Chelsea down, especially when Mourinho comes along and says he wants you."
