Fulham management pleased with Omozusi progress

Fulham management were delighted with the progress last season of young defender Elliot Omozusi.

"Junior's progression this year has been what we'd hoped for in terms of games he's played," Reserve Team Manager, Billy McKinlay, told fulhamfc.com. "He's only 19 so to play that amount of games so early on is an achievement. He can be pleased with that.

"He came out of the team so that players with greater levels of experience could carry the fight for the rest of the season. So it's understandable that he wasn't playing towards the second half of the season. But in terms of its overall progress I think he can be very pleased with himself.

"It's unrealistic to expect that he's going to come in and be a set in stone fixture in the First Team. He's only a young boy so he's going to come in and out of the side when it is deemed necessary. He's obviously done well but he's still got a lot to do and he knows that."
