Fulham goalkeeper Marcus Bettinelli has earned an England call up.
Bettinelli has never played for his national team. But a series of impressive performances in the Premier League have put him on Gareth Southgate's radar.
When asked about the call up, the 26-year-old said to fulhamfc.com: "I'm extremely proud to be called up, it's always been a dream of mine since I was a young boy.
"I understand the goalkeepers in the England squad are very good and I'm happy to be involved in that, whatever my position may be and I'm just looking forward to meeting up with the team today and I'm really happy, really excited and extremely proud.
"I worked with Gareth at U21 level and Steve Holland is still with him, so I've worked with a lot of the backroom staff at England and it will be good to see them and work with them again so it'll be a fantastic experience and one that I'm really looking forward to."
