Fulham boss Martin Jol hopes to lure former Manchester United coach Rene Meulensteen to Craven Cottage as an assistant manager.

The Daily Mail says Fulham's only concern will be that Meulensteen is much sought-after since a brief and difficult spell at big-spending Russian club Anzhi Makhachkala.

Recently his agent Fons van den Brande said there was interest from the Middle East and Germany as well as a club in London.
