The Cottagers take on Polish club Wisla Krakow in Group K on Thursday and after going down the last time the sides met, a win is high on the agenda.
Wisla got the better of Fulham 1-0 in Krakow on October 20, with the visitors having Moussa Dembele questionably sent off just prior to the half-hour mark, but this time Australian international Schwarzer feels his side will be bagging maximum points with an improved performance.
“Wisla are a good side with some good individual players,” Schwarzer told the club’s official website. “It was frustrating in Poland but when you have a player sent-off for whatever reason early on in the game, it makes things very difficult. But we still had some chances - so to lose the game 1-0 was still very disappointing but I think on another day we could have come away with at least a point.
“Thursday’s going to be a different game, we’re playing at home and we need three points, so we’re going to do everything we can to take three points.”
