Fulham manager Martin Jol wants to secure Darren Bent as soon as possible.
The Aston Villa striker is a strong target for the Cottagers, as well as Newcastle United, with Jol hoping to bring him to Craven Cottage in the coming days.
"We don't speculate on things which are not 100%, but with Darren Bent hopefully I can tell you something about him, or another player, by the end of the week," said the Dutchman.
"We have got several doors open so for us it's only about making a decision and getting the player."
