Fulham have concerns over the fitness of Everton striker Andy Johnson.

The Mirror says Johnson's medical problem emerged yesterday and checks on his history reveal it is a problem he has had for years and before he went to Merseyside.

Fulham are struggling to get insurance cover for the former England forward and are also renegotiating terms with Everton about the method of payment.

The clubs are working overtime to save the deal, with Everton needing the cash for their own signings and Fulham keen to have a player they see as key to staying out of the relegation fight.
