Fulham are closing in on Wolfsburg defender Alexander Madlung.
The Daily Star Sunday says Cottagers boss Martin Jol only has Aaron Hughes, Brede Hangeland and Philippe Senderos as central defenders.
Madlung, 30, has two Germany caps and could be signed on a free as Wolfsburg try to slash their wage bill.
