Fulham fullback John Pantsil is upset to see Roy Hodgson leave for Liverpool.
The defender has been in fine form at the World Cup, leading Ghana to tomorrow's last-eight clash against Uruguay.
Pantsil, 29, who was signed by Hodgson from London rivals West Ham in July 2008, said: "He has been such an important person for me in my career.
"The boss has transformed my play to a certain level which, I must admit, even I don't understand!
"He has been amazing to me and I can't believe he's going."
