Fulham, Everton eyeing Villarreal attacker De Guzman

Wigan Athletic, Fulham and Everton are weighing up a move for Villarreal attacking midfielder Jonathan de Guzman.

The Holland international is set to be sold this summer following Villarreal's relegation and is attracting major interest from England and his homeland.

FC Twente coach Steve McClaren is chasing De Guzman, but faces competition from Everton, Wigan and Fulham.

Fulham see De Guzman as a potential replacement for Mousa Dembele, while Everton have him as an alternative to Tottenham's Steven Pienaar.

Latics boss Roberto Martinez has followed De Guzman's progress since he first moved to Spain with Real Mallorca.
