Fulham insist they're not considering former Cardiff City boss Malky Mackay.
Mackay caused consternation when he was spotted in the directors box at Craven Cottage on Saturday.
The London Evening Standard says Fulham CEO Alistair Mackintosh said Mackay wasn't a candidate for the job but was a friend of Kit Symons and Peter Grant, the club's caretaker management team.
Mackay's star has fallen since a scandal over racist, sexist and homophobic texts allegedly exchanged by him and former Cardiff sporting director Iain Moody while he was manager at the Welsh club.
