Fulham defender Johnny Heitinga has explained turning down West Ham United in January.
Before he joined Fulham, Heitinga turned down West Ham despite Everton agreeing terms for his departure. He met Sam Allardyce at the start of January but decided against the move to Upton Park.
"It was just a feeling I got," says Heitinga. "Other teams came in as well, not just West Ham. I am getting a bit older now and making the right decision is about feeling. I chose Fulham and I am still really happy here."
