Fulham defender Brede Hangeland says Danny Murphy will be okay after his clash with Aston Villa's Stephen Ireland.

Murphy was subbed at half-time with a bloody head injury.

Replays showed the midfielder was clearly caught by an elbow from Villa star Ireland contesting a high ball.

Hangeland said: "He looks like a boxer but he will be all right. It is not nice when that happens but I don't think there was any intent."
