"The Manager has been very positive," Briggs told fulhamfc.com. "So that gave me a lot of confidence before the season started. He said that he didn't take me on the tour for the experience or to make up the numbers, he took me because I'm good enough to be part of his squad.
"That is obviously very encouraging to hear, so now it's up to me to impress him further. The Club could be playing in four competitions this season, depending on how they do in the Europa League, so hopefully there will be an opportunity at some point to show what I can do.
"I've spoken a lot about my First Team debut, but that was a long time ago now. It's a nice accolade to have and a very proud moment of my life - but it's time to move on. I've reached a point where I need to establish myself as a First Team player.
"I'm looking to the future. It's a big year for me and hopefully it will be the one when I make my Fulham breakthrough."
