Fulham boss Lawrie Sanchez has confirmed Wigan Athletic have agreed a fee for midfielder Michael Brown's services.

Wigan's new boss Chris Hutchings has been busy in the transfer market this summer and has now turned his attention to the midfielder.

The Latics have agreed an undisclosed amount for the former Sheffield United and Manchester City man and are currently thrashing out terms with the 30-year-old.

"We've had an offer from Wigan, which we've accepted," Sanchez told Sky Sports 1. "We've allowed Michael to talk to them.

"At this moment in time there are ongoing discussions between the player and the club.

"Hopefully for all sides it will be resolved quite soon and that we'll make decisions based on what happens with Michael."
