Fulham compete with Spurs for Gudjohnsen

Fulham remain in the race for AS Monaco striker Eidur Gudjohnsen.

The News of the World says the Cottagers hope to take advantage of the stalemate in Gudjohnsen's contract negotiations with Tottenham and nip in for the forward.

The former Chelsea striker has made his intentions to stay at White Hart Lane clear for months and Harry Redknapp appeared to be just as keen to keep him.

But Spurs want to secure their own forward line before they commit to bringing the Icelandic hitman back.
