Fulham reserves coach Billy McKinlay was delighted to see prospect Wayne Brown make his senior debut in their FA Cup defeat to Bristol Rovers.
"Since Ray Lewington and I have been here, Wayne has come up through the Academy and done very well. He's a joy to work with and he got his reward on Tuesday night. It's only a small step in his career but it's a decent step. He now has to make sure that it was the first of many appearances.
"I was at the game and in the first half he was terrific - excellent in possession and linked up well. He had a couple of efforts a goal, which we knew he would have.
"He's a high energy player who gets about the pitch very well - either off the right or through the middle. He makes really good runs in behind the strikers and is always in and around the box. By and large, in every game, he's always getting three or four attempts on goal. He had a couple of efforts against Bristol Rovers, which is what he's about.
"He sees a nice pass and is efficient with his work. His main asset is the goal threat he carries from the middle of the pitch, he gets up and supports the front two well and he's got an eye for a goal. In and around the box, you would back him to hit that target more often than not."
