Grella, who plays in the Italian Serie A with Torino, is believed to be a target for Fulham manager Roy Hodgson who says the club may still sign more players, including a defensive midfielder.

Speaking on the club's official website, Hodgson said, "There won't be many more signings but we haven't ruled out bringing in a couple more in key positions to help us out.

"We've done quite a few things already and I'm very pleased with what we've done.

"We're looking at another striker and flirting with the idea of a defensive midfield player."

Torino's chairman Urbano Cairo confirmed that Fulham have made an offer for Grella.
