Fulham are chasing Sunderland pair Lee Cattermole and Phil Bardsley.
The Cottagers have offered £2.5 million for Cattermole.
And the Evening Chronicle says the Londoners remain the favourites to sign Bardsley, who has been told by manager Paolo Di Canio that he has no future on Wearside following his late-night casino visit towards the end of last season.
Neither Cattermole nor Bardsley travelled with the first team to Italy for the club's pre-season training camp, and they were also left behind when Di Canio's men headed out to Hong Kong to compete in the Barclays Asia Trophy.
