Fulham captain Hangeland excited about future

Fulham skipper Brede Hangeland is convinced of exciting times ahead.

Hangeland, who signed a new contract with the Whites earlier this year, believes Fulham should be aiming high.

"As long as I've been here the aim, first and foremost, has been to stay in the league," he told fulhamfc.com. "We'd like to do a bit better than that next season and try and finish in the top 10 and possibly get back in Europe. It wasn't too many years ago that we did that and I'd love to experience it again.

"For me personally, the goal is the same every year; to stay free from injury and do the best I can for the team to have the best season possible."
