Fulham boss Lawrie Sanchez believes his new-look squad are capable of making a big impact in the Premiership this season.

The Cottagers boss has pushed his spending for the summer past £23million following the signings of Aaron Hughes, Steven Davis, Diomansy Kamara, Chris Baird, Paul Konchesky, David Healy, Lee Cook and Hameur Bouazza.

And he said: "We are only a few days away from our first game of the season at the Emirates.

"I'm confident that we have a group of players that will do well in the Premiership this season.

"Hameur becomes my eighth signing and I am delighted with what the club has achieved in the transfer market this summer."
