Fulham boss Jol still has fingers crossed regarding Hangeland

Fulham manager Martin Jol still believes Brede Hangeland will sign a new deal with the club.

The Norwegian centre-back is out of contract at the end of the season and although contract negotiations have ceased, Jol is confident of finding a solution to keep his captain at Craven Cottage.

"It's always the same with negotiations, they are going on and hopefully something will come off," Jol told the club's official website.

"(Chief executive) Alistair (Mackintosh) is doing the negotiations and he will tell me straight away if something happens."
