Fulham boss Jol remains hopeful of new Hangeland deal

Fulham boss Martin Jol isn't panicking over Brede Hangeland's contract stand off.

Hangeland can walk away for nothing in the summer, but Jol hasn't given up hope of his skipper staying in SW6.

"It's always the same with negotiations," he told the Fulham Chronicle, "they are going on and hopefully something will come off.

"[Chief executive] Alistair [Mackintosh] is doing the negotiations and he will tell me straight away if something happens."
